Rain, Rain go away!

Half-mission P-day was a blast! Rain just poured in torrents, felt like a monsoon! I played kickball and ultimate when rain wasn't coming down. Heard some great beat-boxing, all about the gospel of Christ :) And I reconnected with most of my M.T.C. district, absolutely fun!
Ah, yes, today is Memorial Day. I heard around that Sister Monson died recently, even had the privilege to hear the clip of her grand-daughter singing "My Heavenly Father Loves Me." It was so beautiful! I thought of Mom, and told a recent convert in Ludington about her. I was in Ludington on trade-offs with the District Leader, Elder Chlarson. He only has three more months! Recently, he's been thinking about the will of God vs. coincidence a lot lately. Prayer is a key element in knowing the will of God, and listening to the Spirit. Yet even before that, as Oliver Cowdery was told, in Doctrine and Covenants 9:8, "you must study it out in your mind." As missionaries, we do that a lot, like deciding to go in this direction or another, to knock streets or go see a member.
Love, Elder Brian Stolp
